Special Costs:
$235 Photography - most materials are provided throughout the year depending on volume of use. Students also use their own 35mm camera or digital camera.
Entry Requirements: Expectation the student has done Senior Art (Year 11 or 12).
Course Outline:
Three visual Art Achievement Standards are completed at Level 3. They provide a framework for a cohesive year’s study.
Assessment Outline:
♣Internal assessment with external moderation of Standards 3.1 and 3.2.
♣External assessment of Standard 3.3 and scholarship.
NB: Scholarship is available when sitting 3.3 and requires a submission of a work book and portfolio. Entry decision is made mid year.
Out of Class Expectations and Commitments
Regular homework of 2 hours per week all year. Considerable commitment of study time for photography. Class time and out of class time computer use – location photography.
Where Does It Lead?
The course leads directly to Art Schools, Design Schools and Polytechnics. It also leads into any area of human endeavour where imagination and individuality are sought after qualities.
