Course Outline:
Students already have a sound base of knowledge and skills. This course is designed to give students the confidence to apply this knowledge to more challenging problems, to give depth to their selection and application of skills. Some students are considering career directions and this course allows them the freedom to investigate and develop areas of personal interest, to display their skills while considering these options.
Students will confidently apply the design process to challenging problems. They will investigate and experiment with new materials and processes, and will reinforce and give depth to practical skills.

The skills of problem solving and evaluation will help students become confident decision-makers. For many students it is the base to enable them to make career choices into a varied field of design or practical and professional careers. For others it develops skills for life and recreation.
