Entry Requirements:

This course may be taken by any senior students.  It is preferable but not essential to have taken Food Technology in Year 10.



Course Outline:

The main focus of the course is Food and Nutrition with an emphasis on: the requirements of families and adolescents, nutrition and health, quality control and factors influencing how people choose and use food.  Skills are gained in planning, buying, storing, preserving, preparation, cooking and serving of food.
