Entry Requirements:
This course is open to students who have studied Graphics or possibly Art to the Year 12 level.
Course Outline:
Students are required to show their ability to understand and successfully apply design principles to a variety of design problems. They will be required to illustrate knowledge, skills and imagination in communicating conceptual ideas, detailed information and final solutions through a variety of forms using drawing and graphic presentation.
Assessment Outline:
Up to 30 credits can be gained. 24 credits through five achievement standards (9 credits external and 15 credits internal) Six (6) credits through two unit Standards from the computer domain (internal) in conjunction with NatColl training institution.
Where Does It Lead?
For some this course will lead to Design School, Draughting, Architecture or a range of career opportunities in interior design, textile, trade, electronics, at the same time enhancing every individual’s ability to communicate concisely.
