Entry Requirements: Please note that students must have a STRONG knowledge of computer applications – this course is not designed for a beginner. Year 11 and 12 students have automatic entry.


Course Outline:

Focuses on using the computer as a tool for problem-solving, communicating and presenting information. It will provide students with a working understanding of the computer, its capabilities and limitation, in both personal and professional environments. The aim is to give students a broad understanding which will allow them to specialise within their own areas of interest, or simply provide useful computer skills.


Assessment Outline:

Unit Standards will be offered. Students have a full year working through Units that are associated with the Computing Domain. All Units are on the Bursary Approved list.  The Computing Unit Standards are being revamped so changes may occur after the course choice book.
